Building a house in Kotputli: what to know
- Map approval
- The Nagar Parishad (municipal council), Kotputli — Rajasthan's online Building Plan Approval System on the state SSO and Single Window Clearance System sites. The plan is filed online as one CAD drawing prepared by a registered architect or engineer, choosing the development authority, urban improvement trust or urban local body, with affidavits, a structural stability certificate, the approved layout plan and photographs of the plot, and the approval certificate is downloaded there.

- Plots are listed in square yards (gaj; 1 sq yd = 9 sq ft). Plot listings seen in October 2026 were mostly 80–200 sq yd (720–1,800 sq ft), in colonies such as Sampada Royale and Krishna City, and at Keshwana.
- Climate
- Composite. Kotputli falls in the Composite zone of BEE's climate map. Kotputli-Behror is one of the new districts Rajasthan kept when it reviewed them on 28 December 2024. BIS withdrew its 2025 seismic map in March 2026, so the IS 1893:2016 zones still apply.

- CGWB's Jaipur brochure finds Kotputli's groundwater in quartzite, schist and phyllite of the Delhi Super Group, with bedrock sloping down northwards to Kotputli; every block of the old district but one was over-exploited, and Kotputli block has salty water in parts, so rainwater harvesting and water storage belong in the design.
