- HSVP, DTCP or the Municipal Corporation Faridabad, depending on where the plot is — HSVP's OBPAS for HSVP sectors, TCP Haryana's HOBPAS for licensed colonies, and the ULB OBPAS or Saral portal for plots in municipal limits. Under the Haryana Building Code 2017, house plots up to 16.5 m high are low-risk: the owner applies for self-certification with a site plan, DWG drawings, structural drawings and a safety certificate, and may start building on submission.
- Plot sizes
- Haryana's rules use square metres and name marla and kanal (1 kanal is 505.86 sq m), while the market quotes square yards. A house may go up to G+3 within 16.5 m. New stilt + 4-floor approvals are on hold across Haryana since 21 July 2026; more than 300 applications in Gurugram and Faridabad were frozen.
- Climate
- Composite. Delhi NCR's hot summers and cold winters: shade the west and south walls and plan for cross-ventilation.
