Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit, enquire or work with us, why we need it, how long we keep it, and how to see, correct or delete it.

1.Who we are

Design SQR (“we”, “us”) is an architecture, interior, engineering and construction firm. This policy explains what personal data we collect through designsqr.com, our WhatsApp number and our client portal, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.

We decide why and how this data is used, so under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are its “Data Fiduciary”. You can reach us here:

Grievance contact: questions or complaints about your personal data go to the owner of Design SQR — email us at hello@designsqr.com or call us on +91 8920757366.

2.What you give us

  • Enquiry forms (Get Free Quote, Customize This Design, the cost calculator, the contact page): your name, phone number, email address if you give it, city, plot details such as size and facing, what you are interested in, and any message you type.
  • Your account: your name, email address and phone number, and the designs you save to your wishlist. Passwords and sign-in links are handled by our sign-in provider; our team never sees your password.
  • Client portal: if we design or build for you, your project records — stages and progress, site photos and the payments you have made — so you can follow your project.
  • Refer & Earn: who joined or enquired through your referral link, so the right person gets the reward.

We use this to answer you, prepare designs and quotes, run your project and keep the records the law asks of us. We do not use it for anything unrelated without asking you first.

3.How you found us

To learn which advertising and which pages actually help people find us, the website keeps a small note of how you arrived. It stays in your own browser (under the name dsqr-attr) and is sent to us only together with an enquiry you choose to send. The note can hold:

  • the campaign tags on the link of your first visit: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content;
  • the ad click ids that Google ads and Facebook or Instagram ads add to a link;
  • the website you came from — its name only (for example google.com), never the full address;
  • the first page you opened and the latest pages you viewed on our site (up to 20, without anything typed after a “?”);
  • the time of your visit, and the same details for your latest visit that came from an ad, a search or another website;
  • whether the site was opened inside the Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn app;
  • the page you sent the enquiry from.

It never holds your name, phone number or email address. It is kept for up to 90 days in your browser and removed straight away if you choose “Only necessary”. Once it reaches us with an enquiry, it is kept with that enquiry (see “How long we keep it”).

4.Cookies and browser storage

A few small items are saved in your browser so the site works and remembers your choices. None of them is used for advertising.

The tools below load only after you accept, and only the ones we have switched on. “Measure visits” covers Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity; “Ads” covers Google Ads and the Meta Pixel. They run on our public pages only — never in your account or client portal — and we never send them your name, phone number or email address.

Only after you accept
NameWhat it is forHow longWhen
Google Analytics_ga_ga_<id>_gidCounts visits and shows which pages people read.Up to 2 yearsOnly if you accept “Measure visits”
Microsoft Clarity_clck_clskShows how pages are used (clicks and scrolling), so we can fix confusing ones._clck 1 year · _clsk 1 dayOnly if you accept “Measure visits”
Google Ads_gcl_au_gcl_aw_gcl_gb_gcl_dc_gac_gb_<id>Tells us which Google ads led to an enquiry. _gcl_aw, _gcl_gb, _gcl_dc and _gac_gb_<id> are set only when you arrive by clicking a Google ad.90 daysOnly if you accept “Ads”
Meta Pixel_fbp_fbcTells us which Facebook and Instagram ads led to an enquiry.90 daysOnly if you accept “Ads”

These lifetimes are set by Google, Meta and Microsoft and may change; their own privacy policies explain what they do with the data.

To change your mind, use “Cookie choices” at the bottom of every page. Choosing “Only necessary” stops these tools from loading and removes the “how you found us” note. Turning off “Measure visits” or “Ads” also deletes the cookies of those tools listed above; to be sure nothing is left, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

5.WhatsApp

If you message our WhatsApp number, or send us an enquiry, we may reply to you on WhatsApp. After an enquiry we may also send you one short confirmation there.

The messages, photos and files you send us on WhatsApp are stored in our system so our team can answer you and keep your enquiry in one place.

WhatsApp is provided by Meta through the WhatsApp Business Platform, so Meta also handles these messages under its own terms. If you do not want WhatsApp messages from us, just tell us and we will stop.

6.Who processes data for us

We use a few service providers to run the website and our work. They handle personal data only on our instructions:

  • Supabase — our database, file storage and sign-in (data stored in Mumbai, India);
  • Vercel — hosts the website;
  • Resend — sends our emails, such as sign-in emails;
  • Meta — WhatsApp messages (see above);
  • only after you accept: Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta (Pixel) and Microsoft (Clarity), for measuring visits and advertising.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

7.How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and WhatsApp chats, with how you found us: up to 3 years after our last contact with you.
  • Client project records (drawings, site photos, payments): as long as the project needs them and as long as the law requires us to keep them, for example for tax and accounts.
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it.

After that we delete the data.

8.Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

  • Access — ask what personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with.
  • Correction — ask us to correct, complete or update data that is wrong or out of date.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent — take back your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (for cookies, use “Cookie choices”). What was done before stays lawful.
  • Grievance redressal — complain to us about how we handle your data and get a reply.
  • Nominate someone — name a person to use these rights for you if you die or are unable to act yourself.
  • Complain to the Data Protection Board of India — if you are not satisfied with our reply to your grievance.

To use any of these rights, email us at hello@designsqr.com or call us on +91 8920757366. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so that nobody else can see or change your data.

9.Children

Our website and services are not intended for anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version (9 October 2026). If we add a tool that needs your consent, the cookie banner will ask you again.
