- The Kasganj Regulated Area, whose controlling authority is the District Magistrate, Kasganj. Declared in December 1982 over Kasganj and 25 villages, with one more village added in 1994, its prescribed authority is the SDM, Kasganj. Outside it, the district panchayat requires an approved map for any building of 300 sq m or more.
- Plot sizes
- Plots are bought and sold in sq ft, and farmland around the town by the bigha and biswa. Listings seen in October 2026 at Kyampur Bhediya, Kasganj, ran from about 735 to 1,800 sq ft.
